Ribbon-cutting ceremony after facelift for Dartford Station - coverage from

Dartford Borough Council Cabinet meetings this week.  Details of item 11 on the agenda, New Council House Building, only became available at the end of last week. This report provides an update on the progress made towards the Council’s new build housing project and requests approval to submit planning applications as necessary and undertake competitive tendering exercises for the development of the sites.  The sites in question are land at Coleridge Road – approx 50 dwellings, land at Shaftsbury Avenue – approx 10 dwellings and land at Temple Hill Square – approx 30 dwellings.

Problem reported to and DBC – The foot tunnel under Home Gardens, leading from the county court to Bullace Lane, was closed several weeks ago due to flooding. The closure was reinforced with Heras fencing. The floodwater has long since receded but the fencing remains. Please remove the fencing and the industrial bin, and clean the underpass of debris to provide a pleasant environment. Pedestrians are currently forced to cross Home Gardens which is a very busy, and frankly dangerous, road.

Announcement from DBC – Bookings are now being taken for Sing & Sign courses which start in the Meeting Place on Friday 16 May for 10 weeks.  Further details here.
