Councillor Derek Hunnisett (Conservative Dartford Borough Councillor – Wilmington) – There is to be a public Meeting in Wilmington Memorial Hall on Friday 16 January at 7pm, to discuss the planning application for access to the Stables from Stock Lane.

Dartford Valley Rugby Club recently over a cheque for £203.74 to The Mayor of Dartford for money which the club had collected on their “Twelve Bars of Christmas” on the 20 December 2014.  The event was quite a challenge: to visit twelve pubs and bars in central Dartford with a festive drink in each one – not everyone completed it! John Davis-Ashdown (President of DVRFC) said, ‘I was amazed at the generosity of the people in each pub, who gladly donated to The Mayor’s charities.’ The club also unveiled to Cllr Avtar Sandhu its Youth Rugby project that will be starting on 12 April at The Leigh CTC.  Head of Youth Rugby, Luke Stickings said, ‘DVRFC has so much to offer the community, giving the youngsters in Dartford a safe and well-managed environment in which to play such a great sport for girls and boys.  Apart from non-contact rugby skills, the players will learn teamwork, respect, discipline, improve their fitness and most importantly, have fun and make new friends. This project is the future for rugby in Dartford.

Dartford FC 1 FC Halifax Town 2 – Conference Premier League.  The Darts league woes continued last night.  Harry Crawford opened the scoring after 9 minutes but the visitors, who had two players sent off, returned to Yorkshire with all three points.
