Kent Highways advise that there will be three-way temporary traffic lights on Temple Hill near to the junction with Temple Hill Square from Monday 12 January until the end of March due to the construction of a new roundabout.

Kent County Council have advised that Whitehill Road, Southfleet will be closed at the junction of Green Street Green Road and Highcross Road from Monday 16 February for up to seven days to enable carriageway ditching, pond clearance, kerbing and carriageway patching.

BBC News have reported that the NHS in England has missed its four-hour A&E waiting time target with performance dropping to its lowest level for a decade, figures show.  From October to December 92.6% of patients were seen in four hours – below the 95% target.  The performance is the worst quarterly result since the target was introduced at the end of 2004.  Last month , we reported that for the seven days up to 14 December, the figures for Darent Valley Hospital (DA2 8DA) showed that 97.7% of patients were seen within four hours.  The latest figures show that this has now dropped to 91.8%.

Friday 16 January – Circus Starr at Mick Jagger Centre.  Circus Starr is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that supports disabled underprivileged and vulnerable children across the UK through a 75 venue tour held three times a year.  A Social Enterprise with children at its heart, each year it donates over £1.37m worth of free tickets to local children’s charities and support groups.

    Hallelujah they are finally doing something with Whitehill road Longfield – Southfleet. Its taken at least 2 years of constant fault reporting. Let’s hope they do a proper job.
