General Election and Dartford – When I wrote the preview last week, I was not aware of electoralcalculus.co.uk. They claim to ‘have been making election predictions for twenty years, and were the most accurate pre-poll predictor at the last General Election in May 2010’. They appear to regularly update their 2015 predictions for each constituency and I must admit, their current prediction (as of 1 January) that the Conservatives will retain Dartford (by my calculations with a majority of just short of 5000) is less than I expected. How accurate their predictions will actually be remains to be seen.
