Stone Parish Council is featured as the Council of the Week by the National Association of Local Councils.  ‘NALC would like to congratulate Stone Parish Council on the high profile the council has achieved by consulting with and successfully delivering services to its electors.  This is a model council that is active, imaginative and communicates well with its electors. Figures released last week by gov.uk, show that as of 31 March 2014, in Dartford there were Council Tax arrears totalling £4588000 equating to £111 for each dwelling. This rate per dwelling was joint 236th best of the 326 authorities listed. For the period 2013-14, Dartford Borough Council’s collection rate was 97.1%.  This collection rate was joint 198th best of the 326 authorities listed.

Since Saturday, the Small Businesses of the Day as featured by Dartford Borough Council were Craft Frames Ltd of West Hill, picture framing, needlework & craft supplies and hand embroidery classes; New York Deli, sandwiches and hot food to eat in or take away in Market Place; and Dartford Legal Services, domestic and commercial conveyancing, probate and wills located in Regus House, Crossways.
