Tomorrow, 6 December, has been designated as Small Business Saturday.  This is a grassroots, non-political, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.  Last year, Dartford Borough Council championed this event; Jeremy Kite, Leader of the Council, said:

The town’s small businesses and market traders are a hugely important part of Dartford’s retail offer and they deserve all the support that local residents can give. We’d love you to join us in supporting them on Small Business Saturday… and beyond!”
