IN THE NEWS TODAY
KCC Highways have advised that Dartford, High Street will be closed on 24 November for 5 days to enable to install a new gas supply, please follow diversion signs.  Please note that roadworks.org are suggesting that the work is planned outside 57 High Street (next to Paper Moon) and it is just a lane (rather than road) closure, although delays are likely.

Dartford Borough Council planning application received – 14/00857/NSIP, General Paramount enquiries, Swanscombe Peninsular.  The applicant has asked the Secretary of State for its opinion (a scoping opinion) as to the information to be provided in an environmental statement relating to the project. (Note includes a document over 200 pages long).

Dartford’s Grabbacab scheme is on the move later this month.  From Friday 28 November, the Grabbacab booking office and pick-up point will move from Market Street to its new home in the Westgate Car Park, opposite Air and Breathe.  The scheme operates on Friday and Saturday nights from 11.30pm to 3.30am and helps town centre visitors get home quickly, easily and safely, as well as reducing anti-social behaviour – further details from dartford.gov.uk

    More roadworks at the same time: Dartford Princes Road: Contraflow 24th-28th Nov between 09:30-15:30. Between Darenth Rd & Lowfield St to enable repairs to an electric cable. So likely town will be complete chaos for that week!
