Following the recent flooding in Swanscombe, in particular in Southfleet, Stanhope and Milton Roads, Kent Highways Services have advised the Town Council that they have arranged for a CCTV survey to be carried out at Stanhope Road and Southfleet Road on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 October to help identify the problem.  Following these surveys, they will update the Town Council and let them know what they will do to solve the issue.

Kent Police were called to the Laing O’Rourke HQ in Dartford yesterday after blacklisting protesters clashed with staff during a demonstration.  Blacklist Support Group activists used social media to accuse Laing O’Rourke staff of assaulting them during a protest occupying the company’s HQ ahead of a High Court hearing today.
