Ebbsfleet Garden City – Today a ‘Question Time’ style event, organised by Kent and Medway Federation of Small Business,  was held in Dartford to discuss ‘what small businesses want from Ebbsfleet Garden City’.  Below are some selected comments from the tweets of @FSBKent.  To get a fuller picture and report, please read through their Twitter timeline.

Gareth Johnson MP says we will need to protect the greenbelt around the area.  We will need the infrastructure and schools to go with it – up to £200m for that. So much of the success of this will be down to the local community pic.twitter.com/F1vYHYadgv

Cllr Jeremy Kite says the concept first put was a joined up one.  We don’t want it to be ‘gated’ it is for everyone.  The plans offer ‘dignified living’ for everyone. Ebbsfleet will be a ‘demonstrator’. Technology is changing the way we’re living – we want to live cool lives.
